Mr. Johal is a seasoned business leader with over two decades of experience in building and managing technology-based ventures with high-performance teams across multiple industries and geographies.
Mr. Johal grew up in an agriculture family in Punjab, India. He earned a BS and MS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from MIT (Cambridge, MA).
After MIT, Mr. Johal started his career in Operations Research and Decision-Support at Analog Devices (NASD: ADI). At ADI, Mr. Johal designed and implemented an industry-first, real-time factory scheduling system that improved productivity, reduced cycle time and increased throughput. After ADI, Mr. Johal led several ventures next 15 years using data analytics for decision-support systems, at both private- and publicly-traded companies, in the US and around the world.
In early 2013, Mr. Johal founded Agralogics – a data infrastructure company designed to be the “Internet of Food” – with the intention of making it easy for Food Enterprises, across supply-chains, to improve their efficiency and asset values via data-informed decision-making. Today several category leading fresh Food Companies are using Agralogics’ “blockchain, IoT and AI” platform across multiple nodes of the supply-chain and across multiple business functions.
